Yesterday, Bristol Rovers Community college hosted our first BTEC Open Evening of the 2026/27 academic year, welcoming Year 10, 11 and 12 students and their parents to discover more about the educational and football opportunities available through the club.

The evening gave prospective students and their families the chance to tour the college facilities, meet coaching and teaching staff, and learn more about studying sport qualifications equivalent to three A-Levels, all while being part of a football-focused environment at Bristol Rovers.

Study, Train and Represent Bristol Rovers -

Bristol Rovers' full-time post-16 programmes offer students the opportunity to work towards a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Sport, with modules covering areas such as sports coaching and sports development.

Alongside their studies, students benefit from regular football training and the opportunity to train, compete and represent Bristol Rovers FC in competitive fixture leagues.
The programme combines academic study with a high-level footballing experience, allowing students to develop both on and off the pitch while working towards qualifications equivalent to three A-Levels.

The evening was hosted by Will Dixon, Head of Education, and Danny Rowson, Head of Recruitment and Football, who were on hand to provide information about the programmes and answer questions from students and parents.

We look forward to welcoming more prospective students and their families as we continue to build towards the 2026/27 academic year. With the new academic year now underway, we are excited to see what the coming months will bring for all our students, both on and off the pitch.
